2nd Grade Holiday Day Performance

All District Choral Concert

Students teamed together from Franzen Intermediate School and Peacock Middle School to present an “All District Choral Concert”.  Shown below are students celebrating after their outstanding performance.  Family and friends filled the gymnasium to view the presentations.  Everyone really enjoyed the evening.  Great job students!!!

 

Board President Miller receives Award

Itasca School Board President Kathryn Miller received the distinguised honor of being named one of the Daily Herald’s “Influential Women in Business” for 2011. Kathryn was presented with this award at a banquet in recognition of her leadership skills in managing her own private business.  Pictured below is Kathryn with her award.

Invention Convention for Middle School Students

Eighth grade students at Peacock Middle School hosted their annual “Invention Convention” on Wednesday, November 16th.  The students displayed creativity and imagination in their inventions.  Through their presentations, the students provided a rationale for their use.  They did a great job!!!  A huge thank you to Mr. Crockett and Mrs. Krefetz for their assistance and direction to the students on this exciting activity.  Below is a slideshow that displays many of the inventions.

Fun at Halloween!

Students at Franzen Intermediate School and Benson Primary School choose special outfits to celebrate Hallooween.  Displaying their costumes, students entertain visitors during a parade.  Shown below is a slideshow of activities at both schools.

Peacock’s Band and Choir Performance

On October 17th, Peacock Middle School’s Band and Choir performance for a full house of visitors and family members.  Their performances were outstanding.  Thank you students!!!

Benson Primary School hosts “Special Friends’ Day”

Students were excited to share their classroom activities with their family and friends that visited Benson Primary School on Friday, September 23rd.  Shown below are pictures that display the numerous activities provided to their guests.

Special Friend’s Day at Franzen Intermediate School

On Friday, September 16th, Franzen Intermediate School hosted a Special Friend’s Day.  Each classroom was filled with family members and friends of our students.  Teachers provided activities for the students and their special friends!  As shown in the pictures below, everyone had a great time.

Outdoor Education for 5th Grade Students

For three days, 5th grade students from Franzen Intermediate School attended an Outdoor Education Program.  They were accompanied by numerous District #10 staff members.  The activity was a great success.  The district extends a huge thank you to all of the families that supported this program by implementing fundraising activities.  Students and staff members are greatly appreciative.

Curriculum Night for Everyone is a Big Success!

Curriculum Night at Benson Primary School offered parents of students at the school an opportunity to learn more about the curriculum.  Grade level teachers provided presentations within their classrooms.  The evening was a huge success.  Shown below are pictures of the daycare offered by the parent organization (IEPTO) so that parents could attend the classroom presentations.  Students enjoyed the art activities provided by the parent organization.
